Your cabin was identical to our ‘regular’ Britannia cabin, except only for the coffee maker, which we didn’t get (not an issue - I don’t drink coffee, and Martyn rarely does - so I guess the plus point is a smaller, quieter dining room. Great vlog! What is the dress code on Avalon? We are jeans people and wondered if you had to dress up for meals.😊 also wanted to know if meals are like ocean cruises where you can order multiple items for starters or desert.

Also so much information available online about various dress codes, its nice to see exactly what you were wearing in particular venues, has put my mind to rest slightly as i was dreading having to get penguined up too often as i really do not enjoy it

27:31 Gabriel was the best we had him every night in costal kitchen and my dad loved him he even cut my disabled sister’s food no one has done that in her whole life my dad gave him a nice tip and told his manager how great he was

Hello another great video I am planning to take my mother on a cruise for the first time. Never been on one before. I am worried about her being sick Keep on with video guys x

Gonna be brutally honest here (so forgive me, as it's no reflection on your video) but for the prices they charge I would expect it to look more luxurious and modern considering a relatively recent refit (when they increased its size). A few migraine inducing carpets on there too...yikes !! Did you visit any cabins or did I miss that part? Still a great opportunity to visit a smaller ship, so good for you. HOWEVER.......A very tatty flag flying there (attention to detail), for $3299 each base fare 5th July for a 7 nt cruise around the UK (price from a well known cruise agent with a chilly name) I think they could afford a few new flags on standby. Didn't impress me unfortunately for that price league. Be interested to see what your other "vlogger mate" made of it. P.S. Lovely harbour by the way and such a gorgeous day too 👍 Cheers, Vik

Decent nick for a 1992 ship, and, as you say, when you look at the prices not as expensive as we'd have expected for a ship of that size. We like the quirkiness of those small ship layouts too.
